Simona Kovaříková

  • She graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno in 2004.
  • In 2009, she upheld her dissertation on the topic of Immune System Activity in Dogs and Cats with Chronic Kidney Failure and received a Ph.D. in Internal Diseases of Small Animals.
  • Until the end of 2015, she worked as an assistant professor at the Clinic of Dog and Cat Diseases, specializing in diseases of the urinary tract of dogs and cats.
  • Since 2016, she has been working at the Institute of Animal Protection, Welfare and Ethology, but she continues to focus on the issues of the urinary tract of dogs and cats. She is the author of the monograph Examination of Dog and Cat Urine in Clinical Practice.
  • In 2020, she completed a course focused on ethology and behavioral disorders in cats (International Society of Feline Medicine Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour).
  • She has a border collie.
