Gert ter Haar

Gert was born and raised in the Netherlands and graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht in 1997. He completed his surgical residency there and has been an ECVS specialist since 2002.

Gert worked for 10 years at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht as a soft-tissue surgeon/ENT specialist, followed by five years as an associate professor in London at the Royal Veterinary College, one of the world's most prestigious universities, where he was head of the ENT department. He is an internationally renowned specialist with extensive knowledge and experience in veterinary ear, nose, and throat medicine. He conducts extensive research on conditions affecting short-nosed dogs (brachycephalic dogs) and, in addition to these areas of expertise, also has a keen interest in oncological and reconstructive surgery.
